Mina was driving her green Prius, and Nick was sitting up front and Jake was in the back. "Mina, you 'aught to turn in this lunch box for something cooler. I mean if you put your hand out the window this freaking thing turns." He groped. "Prove it," She said, "There's even a turn up here that we need to make. Make this turn right." She gloated. As they pulled to a stop, the light turned green and Nick put his hand out the window. Mina just accelerated without turning the wheel, and the car turned. After it turned, Nick looked over at Mina, "Told ya." He said. Mina just huffed at him and kept driving. Soon, they arrived at the station, or HQ as they called it, at around 9:45. In the building, one of the room lights was on. "Who left there lights on?" Nick said, staring at Jake. "Sorry." He said. They all got out of the car and went inside. Nick started on dinner along with Mina. They heard Jake shuffling around in his room. "Jake, what are you up to now?" Nick and Mina said at the same time. "I'm building an invention!" He shouted in excitement. "Oh god..." They both sighed. Then, Jake came out of his room hold some sort of item. "I call it, the sock flinger!" He said. It was a shoe box with a spring inside, held down by a board and can be pulled out. "How is this supposed to help us?" Mina asked. The Jake pointed at her. "Well, Ms. Smarty Pants, if set to the right angle, it can fling folded socks into your drawer! Never again shall you have to put them up yourself! Here's a demonstration, I will fire them into the empty bowl there." And then Jake sat a folded pair of socks on top the box. "Fire away!" He exclaimed, pulling at the board." Mina and Nick watched the pair of socks fly through the air, and through the window, shattering a small hole in the window, and they slowly turned their heads and stared at Jake. "I'm just going to throw this away." He murmured under his breath, and walked out of the door to the trash bins. "Well, while Jake fixes the window, again, we can eat dinner." Nick said, placing bowls of ramen on the table. Mina almost dove over to the table. She picked up her chopsticks, broke the pack in two, and took the sticks and started sucking down the ramen. After Jake took the 'invention' out to the bins, he came in asking, "So we're pulling the heist tomorrow?" Nick sat down and replied without look at him, "Yeah I guess. Oh, and your fixing the window again." "I'll get my window kit." Jake said. After Mina finished her soup, she turned her bowl over on the table. "So how we gonna do this, Nick?" She asked. Nick just kept eat. "Nick, hello?" She said, knocking on Nick's head as if it was a door, and he just kept ignoring her. 'Ah, I remember what pisses him off.' She thought, and she picked up her chop sticks. Then, she pinched his nose with them and twisted. "God, oh god, oh god!" He started shouting, dropping his chopsticks into the bowl. "What, what, what?!" He shouted, laughing at himself. Mina removed her sticks from his nose, "How are we going to get it?" She asked again. Nick replied, "Well, I guess we could use 'my' inventions." He said. "Show off!" Jake shouted from the other room, coming into the kitchen. "Ooh! I call the lasersticks!" She exclaimed. Nick and Mina started laughing before Nick asked, "What is it with you and chopsticks?" He said laughing. "I just like them, their cool and from Japan, and I like Japan." She said, hugging her chopsticks. "Well, lets get to the invention room." Nick said, standing up from the table. "Show off I say!" Jake shouted again. Mina got up from the table and followed Nick down the hall. Near the sliding pole, Nick stopped infront of a blank wall, and reached down. At the bottom of the spot he stopped at, was a cord that looked like it was from window blinds, and pulled it. A painted blind that was painted to look like the rest of the wall was hiding a wooden doorway. He put his finger up to his lips and opened the door. Inside, it was a dark room, about as big as a regular bedroom. He flicked on a light switch. The room had a maroon regal carpet, with beige walls with silver shelves hanging all about the room. Nick and Mina walked over to a small desk. "Well, this is the last version of the LaserSticks." Nick said, picking up a pair of grey, shiny chopsticks. "You just flick them, and you shoot a laser that can pick locks, turns off security systems, and even melt windows." Nick told her, handing her the chopsticks. "But they don't burn skin, thank god." Nick walked over to a shelf in the corner of the room, followed by Mina. He picked up a white mask with two eye holes. "This is my Inviso-Mask, makes you invisible. I only have one so far, but I'll be wearing it. I can use it to gather security information secretly. But, I can't be standing in full light, I have to be in shadows or almost complete darkness." He told her, putting it in a small, blue backpack. They went through many different gadgets, dealing them out between Mina and Nick, since Jake can't be trusted with most of his tools. "Tomorrow, we thieve!"
